Lots of Lemon Bars in OhioJan 14, 2010
By Z-Factor We searched the internet for info on Meyer lemon trees & good seller reviews. We live in Ohio so the dwarf lemon tree is a good size for our home. Due to great seller reviews, we decided to purchase this 5 gallon tree from Clifton's Nursery. We are very pleased with our purchase. Our tree came carefully packaged one year ago with 2 ripe lemons. We contacted the nursery for replanting & growing advice. They took the time to answer all of our questions & suggested we put the tree outside for the warm summer months. We did everything they suggested. Within 3 months, we had 8 lemons growing. It's now January, our tree is facing a south window, & we have 14 lemons! The blossoms give a wonderful aroma that friends have commented on when they enter our home.

A wonderful addition to our home (even in New York!)Jul 23, 2008
By Sara Quaytman We were really excited to receive our Meyer Lemon Tree, although in truth we were a little nervous about taking care of it in an apartment, and had tons of questions. We called the nursery several times for guidance, and each time we were so pleased with how friendly, helpful and patient the staff were - we felt as if we were dealing with a neighborhood garden center rather than someone all the way across the country in California. And we love the tree! Thank you so much!

Excellent Condition, Though Smaller Than ExpectedOct 30, 2009
By E. Oakden The plant arrived earlier than expected which is usually nice. However, on this occasion we were out of town on the weekend and we received 8" of snow. Luckily, the tree was packed very well and was still in great shape when I opened it.
I repotted the tree and it seems to be adjusting well. It will be an indoor plant. I have another lemon tree in the dining room that is about 3 years old and produces about 4 lemons a year. They are the best lemons I have ever had and I am always torn what to use them for. The tree blooms in mid-winter and the smell of the flowers is such a treat. If you live in a dry environment, I recommend misting the tree as often as you remember.
I only gave the tree 4 stars because it was smaller than I expected. For the price, I thought it would be larger. Otherwise, a great transaction.

4 months later and still going strong!Sep 12, 2011
By clevernonsense I held off on reviewing to see how the tree would adapt to New England patio living.
So far, so good!
The tree arrived, well boxed, quickly and looking exactly like the photo. 3' tall, a dozen small lemons or so, several flowers, a good number of leaves.
I followed the instructions on transplanting into a new pot. As is to be expected, a lot of leaves died (maybe 20-30% of them) in the first 2 weeks--probably a combo of both the transport and the transplanting.
Since then I've had several new branches sprout and a whole lot of new leaves. I'm about to bring it inside for the winter (just bought a heavy duty grow bulb), but I don't foresee any new challenges.

Lemon Tree as GiftMay 24, 2011
By mh The tree was given as a gift. The recipient absolutely loves it. He's taken care of the plant as instructed but has found that the watering schedule suggested (water ~every three days) was too frequent. Water was left at the bottom of the pot and leaves were starting to turn yellow and fall off. He has since revised the watering schedule to once a week...
Note that the tree arrived with buds on it in April and currently has lemons beginning to grow on the branches. When I saw the tree I was amazed by the healthy size, number of flower buds and general good health for a plant that had traveled in fairly cold weather. While the flower buds made his apartment smell delicious, we are looking forward to trying the lemons from the tree. This is definitely a gift that I would repeat in the future for someone who is interested in having fresh lemons in the house.
